There are a number of ways to do this.

1) Buy a UPS splitter. This is what we do.
2) Use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). I know the term and
that's about it. Probably the "best recommended".
3) Have one device message the others. For example a PC puts a message
into the message queue listed in the system value QUPSMSGQ.
