I may have misunderstod this tread, but as far as I remember a number
of services closes down when the treshold is reached - amoung others FTP?

Rob,

The Distribution services and such will behave the same as they did before,
but at V4R2 we were able to programmatically grab control of what happened
when that limit was reached. Most folks just put out the message (I think
that's the default) but other customers will have a program that handles
the
situation more elegantly.

The bigger problem we see now is with replicated systems, particularly
PowerHA. It can be nasty if the primary system goes down hard.

So is that basically saying that all actions which used to be done by that
SST number are no longer performed and if you want such activities they are
done via the QSTGLOW* system values?

In years past the SST number would do things like shut down snads and
whatnot. Are you saying none of those actions are done at the SST number
anymore?

Does IBM document anywhere exactly what actions, if any, occur when
threshold is exceeded?

Select ASP to Change Threshold

----Protected--- ---Unprotected--
ASP Threshold Overflow Size %Used Size %Used
1 90% No 0 0.00% 3131747 89.77%

This is the SST threshold, which is different than WRKSYSVAL QSTGLOW*
