LOL I can see that both ways. Yes, going to the properties to get the serial number can be a pain. However, having this long system name composed of "System", the make, model and serial number in which all systems have the same make, all systems have pretty much the same model, and all systems are only off by a character or two on the serial number means little to nothing to my fellow coworkers. Good people all, but their primary jobs are programming and/or analysts and they only do this 'system' stuff once a quarter. Rob Berendt
