I had reinstalled 7.1 Nav on Win7 recently and had issues with some
folders not expanding and hence being completely useless. I then realised
that I hadn't installed the latest PTFs.
So I downloaded SI50567 and applied it and the app is hummimg - never had
a better experience.
Oh yes, I also had to download a fix for a missing DLL - icuuc44.dll
I also had upgraded Java:

This also fixed the issue where I could never connect to Management
Central - kept on blowing Navigator out of the water.
Happy as a p.g in ....!
Cheers

Strange, I find the 7.1 iNav on Win7 to be the most reliable I've ever

Subject: web navigator vs fat client navigator.
My boss and I get totally lost trying to use the web navigator for
performance evaluation versus the fat client.
It's really hurting now that we're on Windows 7 and the fat client keeps
blowing up before I get very far into it. YMMV. Perhaps it's dependent on
java version, etc. I need to open a ticket on this.
