Depends on how many IPLs you have to do,
whether or not you forget to do CHGIPLA STRRSTD(*YES) if you have to IPL
multiple times,
and so on.
But it can take awhile.
I loaded it to image catalogs. The
INSPTF LICPGM((*ALL)) DEV(OPTVRT01) INSTYP(*DLYALL)
took about 15 minutes. IPL will be done later.
In fact I just did an IPL but it's doing a dedicated full system save,
which should take an hour (small lpar). After that I might be able to
glean how long that IPL took.
