FYI: An APAR that is used to provide a fix, is specific to one
version; any number of releases and point releases within any version.
Thus to document and fix what is effectively /the same/ problem on two
versions, requires two APARs. Any such /additional/ APAR created is
supposed to have an effective link to the original, called its /sysroute
APAR/ to identify from which APAR the original problem report was
copied\routed. FWiW I have described some aspects of SysRouted APARs in
other messages too. For example, using a PTF cross-reference list:
