Yeah, Charles - don't I wish we could send a PDF. The service company will take only separate files. Who knows? Less disk space? I don't know - wasn't in on the early stages. We're sending text files with FCFC, yet I think they are not even using the FCFC info for locating stuff when replicating the invoices - again, I've strongly hinted, but they still seem to be kind of guessing at things. Sheesh!

These signatures originate on our system by being uploaded from handheld devices that our service specialists in the field use, uploaded as BMPs, then converted to and stored as PAGSEGs.

I'm hoping that our system is "calling home" and will get a call about it from IBM - will check with our sys admin.

Thx
Vern

Vern, do you really need text & signature separate? Or is that simply the
most basic that the service company accepts?

I assume you've got a process that actually prints an invoice with
signature. Did you ask about sending PDF?

Uffda!

I had a job running all day - we have signatures stored in page segments.
We need to send them with the text of an invoice to a service company. Am
converting the PAGSEGs to TIFFs.

This is the 17th and 3rd-to-last day of running this stuff. Has been going
fine so far.

Any experience with this?

We are very nearly current on PTFs on 7.1 system. I don't have authority
to display PTFs, so can't give you exact levels.

What I'm doing is CPYSPLF of a SPLF from a PRTF that contains only a page
segment -

A R PSRCD PAGSEG(&PSLIB/&PSNAME 0 0)
A PSLIB 10A P
A PSNAME 8A P

Just checked - the PAGSEGs do exist on the system.

Nothing on Google for the symptom string that is in the subject.

So I'm coming here first, to see if anyone has run into this.

Thx
Vern
