Treat it like a real tape, simply initialize it to use it over.

*WARNING* when you want to get the space consumed by the images back, 
initializing them will NOT do that. To actually get the space back you 
do need to delete the catalog images and create new images.

Now on this 12 arm thing? Unless you're backing up to 8MM tape 12 arms 
am not enough! As Bert Reynolds said in one of his many movies as he's 
counting the guys on the other side just before he got into a bar fight: 
"..10, 11, 12. You're gonna need more guys!"
