Perhaps you can run [and correct any errors in] the script I offered [though I gave no data to enable an actual test] to see how a DELETE from a "view that spans multiple tables" can be done using an INSTEAD OF TRIGGER (IOT). On v5r3 the IOT does not support a VIEW with multiple dataspaces; failing, diagnosed as msgSQL7008 rc10 per msgCPD32EA RC99].
