Sounds like you need to change the file association in Windows
From the Win Start Button, select Help and Support
then enter "file association"
then you should get a list from which you should see:
"Change the program that opens a type of file"

Subject: IBM i Access 5250 bch file association corrupted
I have encountered an instance where a batch file (type = .bch) that opens both a 5250 and a printer session, has somehow managed to reset the file association to notepad. I tried right-clicking on the .bch and selecting open with and pointing it to PCSWS.exe but that didn't work.
Does anyone know how to reset this file association so that when the user clicks on sessions.bch it will automatically start the 5250 and printer session?
