Remember that M36 could run INSIDE OS/400 for a few releases (V4R1/2/3 as I recall). So this is a valid setup but TCP/IP is not directly accessible to the M36 environment. The data will need to be copied out to OS/400 from M36 (via internal SNA COMM configuration) and then into save files and then to the new box.

Benn there, done that. It was NOT Last week........

Ok, I am thinking if your old box has TCP/IP then it is NOT M36 but it is
OS/400 with the S/36 environment installed. Even the first AS/400's
didn't have TCP/IP. Can the box do any os/400 commands at all? Well,
duh, Rob, of course it does. If he can save it to save files it must be
S/36 environment and not M36.

If this is all true then your only problem should be if the programs have
observability enough to run on something higher than V5R4. Study
ANZOBJCVN.
