Maybe we're all just a little too jaded.Or maybe we have more experience with other tools, like the Java
development toolset in Eclipse, which is free. When i complain about the
buggy experience, i'm actually comparing it to my experience with Java
development in Eclipse.
Nevertheless, it's much better as it was 10 years ago, i agree.
Something like "content assist" i would never thought would ever be
implemented for RPG.
And sometimes it even works!
Problem is that the ones developing the RPG toolset do not use these tools
themselves, for their day to day work.
The open source developers of Eclipse also use Eclipse for development, and
therefore are concerned with little details (as we now, the details are
important), and the overall experience.
The rational developers just work off a feature list.
It's typical for the difference between "enterprise" - paid - software, and
software built by enthousiasts.
