The comment from Michael about exporting the files is probably the best
solution
....for one, it is not a practical thing to put 80-100 spool files on your
desktop
....or any other actual file
....it should always be a shortcut or a folder shortcut from your desktop
.....actual files on your desktop actually use physical memory of your pc
......get too many, and it slows things down

No matter what kind of file it is, it will always have to have a unique name
....so you can't just take everything in one big swoosh

Do your programmers have any pdf tools
....they could easily create pdf's and shove them in a folder for your use
....and they could take care of the naming convention for you

You shouldn't even be worrying about how to do this
.....your programmers are there to make your life easier to do stuff

Paul,

"... stop fooling around..."

Wow, first, based on my small and limited knowledge, I do not believe that
this is a third party issue: I believe it is an iSeries / IBM related issue.

Second, I am sorry that I have bothered you with these types of questions.
I believe that I am able to ask for help and guidance in this forum and I
have done that for many years. I have helped people through these means and
it is a very pleasant thing. Few have already given me advises... you may
be one of those; however, the way you bring help and how you express
yourself in that process helps to deliver even better solutions.

But, thank you for your comments anyway.

If you're looking for an industrial strength way to do this type of thing,
stop fooling around and contact either RJS Software or Help Systems.

Vilena,

I have tried that but still it will be treated as a one-by-one process. If
all the spooled files you have happen to have the same spooled file, it will
also replace the content of the previous one, so you have to manually add a
number or a letter to have a unique file. It is a pain, especially if you
want to download 80-100 reports...
