The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Is there a MINIMUM recommended size? For example, V5R4
required a minimum load source size of 17GB
Minimum load source size is currently 35GB. Soon it will be
70GB. My recommendation is 70GB or larger.
Consistency in size is good. This does not mean all virtual
disks must be exactly the same size, but I have introduced
performance anomalies by having them more than 30% different in
size. By this I mean,
LS = 70GB
unit 2 = 77GB
unit 3 = 85GB
unit 4 = 94GB
unit 5 = 124GB
unit 6 = 134GB
All drives were backed by the same set of 24 drives, but because
units 5 & 6 were so much larger, they got hammered with I/O
requests and became a bottleneck.
