Control Panel/System and Security/Change User Account Control settings and then pull the slider all the way down to Never Notify.
If you don't then whenever you try to copy from a non-local drive, it looks like it worked, but it fails and you receive NO notification. It's the first thing we do on all new installs of Windows 7. A higher level might work, but we just turn it off first thing as it just causes way too many problems with networking and non-Microsoft applications (i.e. everything we get from our core software provider :-) )

Subject: 7.1 Navigator copy & paste to Win 7
We are upgrading our old i520 to a Power7 running 7.1. Part of our testing includes testing Windows 7 along with it. One of the things that I did on the old box it was necessary for me to copy certain files from /QDLS/ using Navigator to my local drive so that I could use the file with another program. To do this I did a copy and paste. We upgraded Navigator and the process works fine with my old Win95 local. When I try the same thing with Win7 it looks like it starts the copy process, puts a placeholder for the file where I tell it to but the process just ends and the file on Win7 has a size of zero. If I FTP the file I can get it. I'm thinking this might be a Win7 permissions issue but I can't for the Google of me find anything about this. Anyone have this issure or ideas?
Thanks,
Cole
