Indeed it is. It is exactly what I do. Why I bothered to say
anything at all is to counter the idea that "job date makes sense, but
job time does not". (If no one subscribes to this idea, then I freely
admit I've completely wasted my breath.) I understand the staying
power of legacy features, and I support having a high bar for the
addition of new features. I am not advocating getting rid of the job
date or adding a job time.
