Peter, I am not sure with VPM if the current lan-console is shared or if
you need to define a brand new one. I don't have a system with VPM on it
currently to test this out with.

It's 520, type/model/feature: 3 E4A 5633.
And yes, I do use the VPM - cause I've no HMC.

Hi,

I'm on IBMi 7.1 and try to configure one host Partition where want to
install IBMi 6.1 ...
I've found a redbook where is described how to create and configure
such partition, this has work perfectly.
But problem which I've is, that the partition stays on SRC A600 5008
and nothing happens.
Now the question :), how I can connect/configure console for this
partition. The Information which I've found is only for linux
partitions, or configuration with HMC (which I don't have).
I'm using currently a LAN Console for the system. I've also another
Eth card but don't know how to assign this card to the new partition?

Any idea?

Thanks for your help
