It would be nice if there were more frequent updates of a 'service pack'
type nature to where there was no longer anything so disruptive as a
release update. After some number of these service pack updates you would
simply be at the next release.

Sort of a 'Technology Refresh' thing . . .

IBM broke their pattern of a new release every other year. 7.1 will be
the top dog for 4 years running. Getting as bad as that old legacy
Windows stuff.

V5R4 lasted 7 years. That's 3 years longer than V3R2 which was the last
time we were concerned with ANZOBJCVN.
