If you can afford weekly IPLs that's not a bad plan. I once set up a
system to do that automatically. Even used the generic's:
*CUMPKG
*HIPERGRP
*DB2GRP
*BRSGRP
*JVAGRP
*HTTPGRP
*PFRGRP
to not have to worry about modifying the program after a release upgrade.

THIS IS A DELAYED PTF TO BE APPLIED AT IPL TIME.
So you may have to deal with that. We're constrained to one IPL per
quarter and 3/10 is one of them.
I did forget that part of it when I said it was painless. We have weekly
IPLs, so that wasn't an issue for us. Every week the latest PTF groups
are loaded, as well as any additional ones that I'm looking for (not often
at all).
