Is this parameter supposed to help when saving many small IFS files? That was always a performance headache, as each one seemed to be separately processed.

But if the async bring is for a different issue, then you may still be facing the small-file matter.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now...
It hasn't changed my backup time hardly at all.
