We have a Xerox 5135. Plain paper - 8.5 x 11 is loaded in drawer 3.
I modified a WSCST that forced portrait to use drawer 3 by changing
the escape sequence for that tray to be the same as for drawer 1.
However, the printer wants to draw from the bypass tray.

I checked the code in the WSCST, and do not see anything that would
appear to be selecting the bypass tray. From the document I printed
from IBM Infocenter, the last few characters for bypass tray can be
either 3248 or 3648, depending on the model. I don't know what other
codes could be used.

I am using *HP5 for Manufacturer type and model and IBMSNMPDRV for the
system driver program. I am wondering if I need to change the driver
to HPPJLDRV, assuming that is supported. I hate to get the user
running around to test this, as printer is not near her work area.
Closer than mine, but in a congested place anyway.

I appreciate any suggestions.
