I've upgraded: MMA, E4A, M25 from 6.1 to 7.1. 10 lpars total. (nothing
like Pete and others handle though). I am running an HMC with 7.7.1.0SP1.
Make sure you read the Memo to Users, etc.
6.1 was the biggie, but you've already done that.

Check with your vendors. Some rats are leaving the ship and last level
they are supporting is 6.1. At least that's what I am hearing from some
people as to why they are staying at 6.1. Me, I had vendors dragging
their feet on moving just to 6.1. I replaced them.
