Yes, you have it right. Implement LAN Console. You can leave the exisitng twinax in the machine, and configure LAN Console adapter in SST, and setup the PC. After you have it up and running, you can remove the Twinax if not using it any longer.

We have a 520 Power 5 as a backup machine in a remote data center. I'd like to be able to remotely access the console. I want to do system maintenance (PTFs & upgrades) without needing to involve the data center staff.
I believe we need to remove the twinax console and set up a PC as a LAN console. PC needs to be running at least iSeries Access 6.
Then I could do a remote desktop to that PC and I'd be running the console.
Am I on the right track?
