is your installer proprietary or do you have a link to it ? I know
someone that was doing something with Tomcat so I might be able to
point them towards this if that is appropriate.

So far as I know, there is no longer a licensed program for Tomcat on
the i - you always install it rather manually into the IFS. Not the JDK,
that is a licensed product and will get installed where IBM wants it, I
think.
We have an installer - it currently includes 5.0.28 but might be able to
work with later, if you provide the archive. It installs tomcat into a
directoy off the root - seems to have no problem.
Unless my boss has changed something!!
