hi Jeff,

In my setup, I have:

On the Server tab:
  SQL default Library = *LIBL
  Library List = (left blank)

On the Format tab:
  Naming convention = *SYS

That seems to use the library list successfully for me.  It sounds like 
you have set your SQL default library to an actual library name instead 
of the special value *LIBL, which might be the problem for you?
