I would agree with Richard, on this one. I would prefer a SMB share over the FTP. The i5/OS FTP server pretty much depends on your use of the "namfmt" directive as to where it can 'put' the file. Xerox copiers, et al, probably cannot modify the ftp commands they send before the transfer. The default "namfmt" value for the i5/OS FTP server points to the library system.

Does the thing support sending to regular Windows shares ? If so, use Netserver. I would guess email is also suppored.

Have request to allow a Xerox WorkCentre 4150, which will ftp a scanned doc to a "server". So far getting past logon but next cmds unrecognized. The VLRQ0100 in the exit pgm has garbage.
Had a conf with Xerox, net tech downloaded latest firmware to printer, but no change. Was told this is not anonymous ftp(I have no access to Xerox).
Has anyone done this?

I've resolved the exit pgm issue, but from a dos prompt, the ftp
logs on, but hangs on a put. Will 1st get ptfs updated, and look into
pasv issues.
