The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You could use a common table expression (CTE) as follows:
With temp as (select distinct right(lpacct,4) as seed from badplpp)
Select * from temp
Where seed >= '7000' and seed <'8000' and seed not in (select qsssec from bsysqsp where qsssec =
Seed)
Order by seed
Hope this helps.

Subject: SQL syntax
This is definitely not coded in the best manner. It does work.
I am wondering: 1) How to remove the multiple references of right(lpacct,4) and,
2) Can this thing be expressed in a "cleaner" manner.
Query:
SELECT DISTINCT right(lpacct,4) as seed FROM badplpp WHERE
right(lpacct,4) >= '7000' and right(lpacct,4) < '8000' and
right(lpacct,4) not in (select qsssec from bsysqsp where qsssec =
right(lpacct,4)) ORDER BY right(lpacct,4)
Thanks.
