The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Select distinct seed
From lateral (select right( lpacct, 4 ) as seed from badplpp ) as badplpp
Where seed between '7000' and '8000'
and not exists( select *
From bsysqsp
Where qsssec = seed )
Order by seed
Nested table expression allows you to use seed as the field name in field selection, where and order clause
Between used instead of >= and <=
Exists used instead of In

Subject: SQL syntax
This is definitely not coded in the best manner. It does work.
I am wondering: 1) How to remove the multiple references of right(lpacct,4) and,
2) Can this thing be expressed in a "cleaner" manner.
Query:
SELECT DISTINCT right(lpacct,4) as seed FROM badplpp WHERE
right(lpacct,4) >= '7000' and right(lpacct,4) < '8000' and
right(lpacct,4) not in (select qsssec from bsysqsp where qsssec =
right(lpacct,4)) ORDER BY right(lpacct,4)
Thanks.
