Are you using some sort of single signon solution to keep them in sync??

We are still having Windows authentication failures while attempting to
copy
files from the iSeries to a Windows 2003 server.

When we have on the Windows server a /local/ account defined that has the
same user id and password as the iSeries user & password, the CPYTOSTMF
works fine when copying a file to a shared folder on Windows server via
QNTC.

However, if the the local account is removed from the Windows server,
authentication fails when trying to use the Active Directory domain user
id,
which also exists with the same user id and password as the iSeries user.

Last fall I opened a PMR on this with IBM, but after several discussions
with the IBM technical support folks they indicated that it was likely a
Windows policy that was causing the problem, and thus not within the scope
of IBM support.

Can anyone suggest which Windows policies might be causing this
authentication failure?

(please repy in the midrange.pctech list when responding about the Windows
policies involved...)

sjl
