Our entire department has laptops. We are required to take them home on a
nightly basis. It's part of our DR plan. If our building fries we can
take our laptops to our backup site. This tends to keep our home PC up to
date also. :-) I suggest to those who commute to store their car keys in
the laptop case. It's a bear to get to work and realize you forgot your
laptop. But I only work about 4 country miles from home. Only 1 light, 1
stop sign and 1 RR track.

For home use I also suggest using a Citrix or Remote Workstation Client.
Much faster, especially for Client Server type of applications like Lotus
and that genre. Also helps those update issues.
