The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

No, that should not cause a level check. But that is not your only issue
you may have when you recreate a LF from source.
You lose:
- all custom authority. Is a test file created with *PUBLIC *ALL a valid
test if the original file is *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE?
- all the plethora of stuff you see on CHGLF <F4> <F9>
and if this was a PF you'd also lose all your ADDPFCST, journalling, etc.
(Although I think you might be able to journal LF's (or is that just
access paths?).)
