Dave,

What i_BASE were you using, and were you going to 6.1 or 6.1.1

We are upgrading from v5r4m5 and have these PTFs installed. I believe these
were the same ones IBM recommended.
Thanks for the consideration.

Dave,

Since I do a few upgrades a week, I can tell you that you
were
probably missing some of the REQUIRED PTFs for image catalogues. I never
have problems with Image Catalogues.

Did you have these PTFs
Upgrading from V5R4M0 -
SI35849, MF42600, MF43154,
MF46264
Upgrading from V5R4M5 -
SI35849, MF42601, MF43157,
MF46288

We attempted to perform an upgrade from v5r4 to v6r1 this morning on one of
our partitions using an image catalog. We received an error when trying to
install LIC - B2008105.

Called IBM and they indicated there was something wrong with the image
catalog and we needed to install from cd. Are doing so now and no further
problems at this point.

We were not given any recommendations to avoid this problem in the future
(doing two more partitions the next 2 days). We did an image catalog verify
and all came back fine. Have used the same process on two other partition
installs and no problem. IBM did suggest about three PTFs to ensure we had
on the system and we did.

Any one else run into this situation or any suggestions?

Thanks
Dave
