As long as the software(LIC/OS) on the LPARs-to-be on the 0595's supports the hardware on the 525, then I see no problem.

I will take some planning when creating the LPAR's on the HMC to make sure you "point" to the correct load source, etc.

One other consideration is that the system serial number will change and that may effect both 3rd party and IBM lic keys.

I've done it, and it was not that hard to do.
