I don't think that will work on power 5 and above hardware. I think
that's what you used in the old 8xx boxes and what not for partitioning. I
tried this before posting earlier and it basically said no can do.
5. Work with system partitions
Virtual Partition Manager is not supported and this service
function cannot be started. The system is in a state that
does not allow this operating system to partition the
server. Refer to the Virtual Partition Manager documentation
for more information.
