Just an FYI to clarify the use of Self Signed Certificates. You can use
them you just need to get their CA Certificate in a .CER file and import it
using DCM. Takes a few minutes to add it to your KDB as a trusted CA Cert,
then it works. And if your system is older and behind in OS versions, you
may not have the latest official list of valid CA's anyway. ( I just had to
import the latest VeriSign CA to our KDB using DCM. )

I would prefer to use sFTP, as I am doing that now. But, that does notappear to be an option.
FTPS is built into the IBM i, and the same to use as plain FTP, except
you'll need to make sure all the certificate stuff is cleared. The IBM
i doesn't work with self-signed certificates, so you should insist on
an official, CA signed certificate.
