It's something that can be done in minutes if you know what you're doing.

FTPS is built into the IBM i, and the same to use as plain FTP, except
you'll need to make sure all the certificate stuff is cleared. The IBM
i doesn't work with self-signed certificates, so you should insist on
an official, CA signed certificate.

Is there a redbook detailing how to set up FTPs properly? ÂI have read references over the past few months about certificates, but have no experience with this.

I don't think you need a redbook for that.
