I am confused as well. This should have been a routine IP change and the
web-based ASMI should continue to respond.
So I can connect using S1 and will reset the IP back to factory. Maybe that
will get me back to the start.
We are in San Diego, CA, pretty far south from you.
You were very helpful, thank you for that!

Well I am confused. I can talk with my ASMI on two three systems with
IE 8 and they range from V5R3 and way out dated firmware to a V5R4 with
the latest firmware. I am at a loss. You seem to give conflicting info
on your configuration. I do not know what you are trying to do at this
time. I think you have a routing issue, perhaps did not get the subnet
correct when you changed the IP address. Perhaps the default gateway is
wrong. Where are you located, if local, I can stop by and see what is
going on. I am in Santa Rosa CA, that is north of SF.

Hi Chris,
There is a router that governs the DHCP connection (192.168.5.1). I am
trying to connect to the iSeries from the LAN 192.168.5.250 address now.
I did disable TLS1 and enabled SSL2/SSL3 for IE. Now in HTTPS, the
connection is not returning, but it just sits in a wait state.
