Problem is, if you buy a new box now you're basically getting old tech
- Power 6. And it will be quite a bit of time till Power 7 trickles
down to the machines restricted to a single core.
Do you need more power? Depending on your workload and the current
configuration of the 520 you have, you might want to consider buying a
few more disks and a RAID controller with cache - you can get these
used. They still have insane prices, but they're less insane than
IBM's list prices.
