Well it depends on what generation of 520 it is? What is the CPW? Is
it is P05 or P10?
Next what is the cost for maintenance compared to the cost of a new
lease?
I personally believe in a FMV lease and upgrading at the end of the
lease. IBM give you way more than the FMV for the trade in. (At least
they use to.) Now I have 3 system that we purchase, two used and one we
just paid off the FMV lease instead of upgrading. (The upgrade would
have cost 1200 a month more than what I am paying for maintenance. 1200
x 36 = 43200 << lease buy out 8<)

Subject: To Sell 520 or Not To Sell 520
I have a 520 with V5R4 on it.and I have V6R1 for it, just have not
installed it yet.
I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or not.
I'm wondering if it might be better to sell it outright now, while it is
still relevant, and worth a little more money, as opposed to waiting
until
V6R1 is reaching end of life and I can no longer upgrade it.
If I sold it, I could lease a newer box.but that's not the same as
owning one.
What to do.what to do.
