The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Direct connect has served me very well for many years, especially using
the Personal Communications version that has been easier to set up. But
I recognize the benefits of the LAN console, so will change to that -
especially since it is going away, as Pete said.
That link is great but has much more information than I need, I think -
feeling overloaded by it and don't really want to sift out what I need.
If it were a brand new box, hey, I'd use it right now!!

Forget about direct console. That's dead. Lan console (on a single lpar
machine) is better.
