The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Subject: Document imaging solutions
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Looking for advice on document imaging solutions.
More detail:
We have downsized and are about ¼ of our size from when we implemented a
document imaging solution. We are currently considering migrating our
document imaging solution from using open text (tools include gauss,
magellen, ascent).
We scan 700 invoices/credits day (auto capture via a spool file), 60 ap
invoices (screen scrapes keys from a bpcs screen) and manually capture hr
and other records.
We have an iseries and, of course, a windows environment,
We are looking for a more cost effective solution and part of the
requirement will be to convert key documents to the new system.
We do not capture signatures, photos, etc.
We have the dasd and are getting rid of an optical disk.
Workflow capability is not used today.
We have BPCS as our ERP and are using Quadrant's FastFax product for
faxing.
We are geographically dispersed (El Paso/Juarez Mexico/Spring Grove
Illinois).
