Do not interpret Bytes Provided as "Length of receiver variable" except
when
greater than 0.

... and the difference is ... what, exactly? Doesn't a value of zero mean
that zero bytes are provided, and that the length of the receiver variable
therefore is 0? Owing to the fact that nothing shall be received in that
circumstance, I don't understand your reason for making the distinction. Or
are you saying this because the receiver variable is actually 4 bytes in
length, although we don't allow anything to be received?
