The AC in the room is out. Does the iSeries have an auto shutdown function,
warning system, etc, if it gets too hot? What temp in the room is "safe",
will it fry itself, should it me shut down, etc?
The Power6 machines turn themselves off it gets to hot. They'll light
the attention light first and log an appropriate SRC.
I'd assume the Power 5 machines will do the same, but i'm not to sure
about all the really old stuff.
You should shut down the machine now. And make sure to get two
redundant ACs, fed through separate power and backed by separate UPSes
in the future.
