It will throw a warning message as it approaches a critical temperature,
and then it will shut itself down if the temp keeps increasing. How
quickly the room temp would get the iSeries to the critical temp would
probably be pretty variable! If the AC situation isn't resolved and the
warning message is thrown, you may want to consider a controlled shutdown,
rather than a crash if it hits the temp limit! (based on your own
circumstances and business needs, of course).
In our server room, I have seen the warning message and then had an hour or
so before the limit was hit, and I have also seen the warning message and a
shutdown a minute or two later!

The AC in the room is out. Does the iSeries have an auto shutdown
function,
warning system, etc, if it gets too hot? What temp in the room is "safe",
will it fry itself, should it me shut down, etc?
