The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I have set ALL my customers up to "phone home" via the internet. It is much
better, doesn't require a monthly telephone line, and best of all you can
order huge PTFs and download them directly. In fact, you can even order PTF
groups and hipers via SNDPTFORD when you are connected via the internet.
All these machines sit behind the corporate firewalls as well. I have been
doing this since V5R4 came out.

Why do you need the WAN card? Are you going connect a modem to this
machine? Toss the WAN card, you shouldn't need it.
I recently did a bid for a new machine and was told that the WAN card is
needed for the machine to "phone home" and report problems to IBM. Is
that not the case?
