The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Thanks for the reply. It seems to me that licensing a product by number of sessions might work best for single individuals or small groups, who might be disadvantaged by paying a higher price for unlimited use on a server. Align price with use. That seems to be a concern for server-based packages, which could be used by any number of individuals from anywhere (any browser, in my case).
A few weeks ago we discussed the idea of implementing Web applications session limits on the Web-400 list, as a means of preventing large numbers of users from overwhelming server CPU & memory capacity. But the consensus in that discussion seemed to be to just add more hardware capacity, rather than limit sessions.

Subject: RE: MIMMIX and Keyed Software
Nathan,
We are a vendor. Our product is licensed by concurrent sessions. The
key is composed of, among other things, Perm and temp seats. The server
portion is keyed to a serial number. Since our product is licensed by
session, the customer is free to install the client on spare and backup
devices without paying for licenses for the device. This has been a
popular selling point.
