You can change the command default (CHGCMDDFT) on the INZTAP command as
well, so that it is cartridge type, then anytime someone uses the INZTAP
command they don't have to remember to change it.

In the case of the CL program, if someone has put a value into the parameter
inside the program, then you will have to change the CL.

Subject: Re: 5746 LTO4 Ultrium drive

I'm interested in hearing about anyone's experience with this combo as
this is very timely for me.

I'm getting a new 8203-E4A with an LTO-4 and ordering a matching
external LTO-4 for our new (used) 520. If the LTO-3 cartridges are
working OK, I may buy those to use in these drives. The 3's have plenty
of capacity for what I need.

The Internal LTOs will scream compared to the QICs. Also what we are

doing for those clients that don't need the LTO4 capacity is

they use LTO3 media. It's half the cost of the LTO4 media and still
has
enough capacity for single tape full saves.

Just be aware that if you have created programs that contain InzTap
commands, you'll have to specify to use *CtgType formatting instead of

the command default of *DevType.
