Let IBM handle it from end-to-end. They'll pack it up properly, arrange for the right kind of carrier to transport it, and unpack it at the other end.

Anyone know of a shipper that is qualified to ship an 820 from Chicago to Salt Lake City and about what the cost is?

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on
the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond
when you're done reading them :)

Be careful of the shipper. We just had IBM's standard large carrier McCollisters just totally mess with a client's shipment. Couldn't get a good tracking number from IBM, Couldn't get the same delivery date twice in a row and then when the first rack showed up, it was appeared to the stuffed in a spare spot of truckload of household goods. Made a real impression on my client :( Can't wait to see the 2nd system...
Now to be fair McCollisters has done well in the past, but not this time and I hope this isn't going to be the new standard
