You know, at least a brief discussion as to why putting a trigger directly
on a file is trouble is in order. Especially when you have shops like his
that are already shy of them. Otherwise you just end up contributing to
FUD. Did you know that putting a LF on a PF is just asking for trouble
also?

Maybe you're only reason is that, with a one size fits all trigger program
that does nothing but look up in a file what the 'real' program to call
for a particular file is, and, passes all the same parameters you can make
changes to the program without having to concern yourself with locks on
the file when you modify the trigger. If so, state that. Otherwise your
statement will cause more people to eschew triggers than it will cause
people to look at your mediator.
