RE: Directory under /QNTC disappears

Doesn't that entail mkdir by name? i.e., "hardcoding" into the QSTRUP
program? Or do the rest of you capture them by name prior to reboot?

I _know_ for a fact that a fair percent of the time they do come back after
an IPL. And I have nothing in place to do that. There must be some kind of
discovery process. In fact, I started setting up a new PC late friday. It
shows up.

Directories created under the /QNTC file structure do not survive an
IPL. You have to put something into the startup process that re-creates
them each time.

I have a client who created a directory under the /QNTC file system to
access a share on a Linux server.

Everything works until they IPL their system over the weekend.

Then the created directory disappears.



When we run the mkdir command again, we can then access the Linux server
and its share.



Why would an IPL eliminate the directory under /QNTC?
